Queen Esther Jackson

July 30, 1930 — March 16, 2019

Mrs. Queen Esther Jackson lovingly known as “ Sister” was born on July 30, 1930 in Darlington County, SC to the late Mrs. Lucille Brown and adopted child of her Great Aunt and Uncle

Mr. Washington “ Pa” Bruce and Mrs. Flori Ellison Bruce.


Queen departed this earthly life on Saturday March 16, 2019. Queen Esther was join in holy matrimony to the late Arthur “ Bozo” Jackson to this union three children were born.


Queen received her formal education in the Darlington County, SC Public School system. Queen continued her education at Florence - Darlington Technical College. Queen retired from Oakhaven Nursing Home in Darlington, SC.


Queen accepted Jesus Christ at a early in life and Bethel A.M.E. Church and Shining Light Church both in Darlington, SC later in life she became a faithful and dedicated member of New Covenant Assembly In Christ Jesus, Darlington, SC until her health declined she was also affiliated with Florence Baptist Temple of Florence, SC


Queen was a member of the Local Chapter of the NAACP. And the Commission of the Blind. She enjoyed baking and crocheting but singing was her passion. Queen was a loving and friendly and often documented special moments by taking photos.


Queen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur her son, Eugene Jackson, her sister Virgina and three grandsons Sheldon Daniels, Kenneth “ Jab” Windom, Brandon Dominique Jackson.


Queen left to cherish her precious memories are her two daughters; Josephine Jackson of Darlington, SC and Terrisina Jackson of Florence,SC one stepson Carl ( Sylvia) Blair of Pineville, SC and one adopted son; Rodney ( Michelle) Lambert of Atlanta, GA one daughter in law; Lena Jackson of Florence, SC one goddaughter Shannon Rouse of Darlington, SC 10 grandchildren Carla, Cindy, Sharon, James, Tamesha, Jeremiah, Dion, Sontay, Myriel, Dayonn.

a host of , great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
