Leola “ Madge” Keith Shird

Mrs. Leola “ Madge Keith Shird was born on September 21, 1939 in Pamplico, SC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Talmadge Keith and Mrs. Louisa Brown Keith.

She departed this life on January 22, 2023 after a brief illness.

Madge was educated in the Florence County Public School systems and was employed with Pratt & Whitney for over 30 years and the South Carolina Department of Disability and Special Needs.

She was a member of the Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church and member of the Deaconess Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William Jonathan Shird., her Son Baby Boy Shird, her parents: Talmadge “ Teddy” Keith and Louiza Keith, Sisters Mary C. Keith, Joan Fletcher, brother Talmadge “ Talboy” Keith, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving sister Rena L. Keith of Middletown, CT her niece, Tammy L. Keith - Askew ( Chris ) nephews, Phillip (Lynn) Fletcher, Zackery Askew, Quenton Askew, two loving cousins, like nieces: Gail Keith- Graham and Angela Keith - Singleton, Loving niece: Dorothy Hines, two uncles: Ray Hughee, and Hoover Brown and host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church 367 Bass Road Pamplico, South Carolina Reverend Doctor Curtis M. Cantey, Pastor the Reverend Palma D. Thomas, Presiding burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery in Florence, SC.
