James Blessed ( Jb ) Stuckey

​James Blessed Stuckey, affectionately known as JB, was born on Thursday, May 10th, 1934 in Florence County, SC to the late Mary and Vander Stuckey. He departed this life on Sunday, July6th, 2014 at Carolina Hospital System.He attended Florence County Public Schools. He was a logger for many years and later was employed with JP Stevenson & Co. until his health began to fail.

​His hobbies were fishing, hunting and collecting ‘junk’. He later joined St. Luke AME Church in Johnsonville, SC. He was converted and baptized. He was a member of the senior choir and St. Luke Masonic Lodge #171 where he served many years.

​He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sarah R. Stuckey, two children, Joyce Ann Stuckey and John Carson Graham; three brothers, Frances, Preston and Watson Stuckey ;and two sisters, Glennie Mae and Belle Ree Stuckey. He leaves to cherish his memories, four loving children; Elbert (Evangeline)Davis of Pamplico, SC; Ella Nora (Isaiah) Williams of Effingham, SC; Mary Williams of Johnsonville, SC and Shirley Ann Davis of the home. Three brothers; Benjamin (Hannah) Stuckey of Johnsonville, SC; Alliphee Stuckey of Spartanburg, SC and Claude Stuckey of New York. Sister in law, Carrie Bell Durant of Johnsonville, SC; one brother in law, Nathanial McCaskill of Union City, NJ; Eleven grandchildren eight great grandchildren , a dear friend who was always there, Gary Richardson of Centenary, SC; nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
