Life Reflections

Mr. General Lee Waiters, Son of the late Archie Sr. and Mrs. Catherine Gregg Waiters, was born in Florence County, South Carolina, on September 1, 1939. He Departed this Life on Friday, October 4, 2013 at his residence.

At an early age General Lee accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and join Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Florence, SC He was a lead singer, for the Heavenly Gospel Singers. His hobbies included singing and fishing. He attended the Florence Public Schools of Florence, SC.

Mr. Waiters was retired from DuPont Inc. After retirement he did some home contracting work in Florence, SC and the surrounding Areas.

Mr. Waiters was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Almeata L. Waiters: a very loving, caring and devoted wife.

He was preceded in death. By his parents, one daughter Mrs. Beverly Mae Barr, four brothers: Archie Waiters, Jr, Harry ‘’Billy’’ Waiters, Brainger ‘’ Sonny “Waiters, Bobby Clyde Waiters, and one sister, Irene W. Brockington.

Left to cherish General Lee‘s precious memories are his loving, caring and devoted wife, Mrs. Almeata L. Waiters, of the home, four daughters, Mrs. Natasha ( Antwan ) Wells of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Waiters of Virginia, Dorothy Waiters of Florence, SC , Keisha Waiters of Baltimore, MD. three sons, General Lee Waiters, Jr of New York, Don ( Freda) Wright of Darlington, SC and Ronald Bostick of Florence, SC. Four Step Children Jannette ( Greg) Brown of Florence, SC Jerold ( Corlette ) Lewis of Georgetown, SC John ( Kim) Lewis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jake Lewis of Arlington, VA. Also he leaves to cherish his memory, one sister Annie Robinson, and five brothers , Johnny Waiters, Otis ( Margaret ) Waiters , Richard ( Joan ) Waiters, and Ronald Waiters, all of Florence , SC and a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren six sister in Laws and three Brother in Laws. Aunts and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many other relatives and dear friends.
