Elder Bill W. Hanna

Elder Bill W. Hanna son of the late Allen Brown and Nancy White was born July 4, 1933 in Florence, South Carolina. He entered from labor to reward on July 5, 2015.


Elder Hanna was formally educated in the school system of Williamsburg County. He was formerly employed with Tupperware located in Hemingway, South Carolina. He was a devoted member of the Pentecostal United Apostolic Church in Florence, South Carolina.


Elder Hanna was a devoted, compassionate, and extraordinary husband. He married the former Ms. Luter Bell on April 19, 1954. To this union they were blessed with one son Mr. Billy E. Hanna. He was an outstanding father, and wonderful provider.


In addition to all of the accolades mentioned, Elder Hanna was most importantly a servant of God. He believed that if he could help somebody along the way then his living would not be in vain. Elder Hanna was the founder and pastor of various ministries in the state of South Carolina. Through his thirty plus years of ministry; souls were saved, lives were changed, and God was exalted. Elder Hanna was the esteemed pastor of Weaver Chapel Holiness Church located in Brittons Neck, South Carolina where he served until retiring.


Elder Hanna was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Bessie M. White, Mary Julius, Gathal Hanna, and one brother; Edward Brown.


He leaves to cherish: his loving wife of 61 years, Luter Bell Hanna of the home, his son Billy (Kim) Hanna of Atlanta, GA, one brother; Frank (Georgie) White of Fort Lauderdale, FL two sisters; Zuire White of Hemingway, SC Landy Peake of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and two beautiful granddaughters Tiffanique and Aungelique Hanna. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Mr. Rudolph Pittman & family, our Pee Dee community family, Mr. John Goss, Ms. Karen Weaver, Ms. Andrea Jones, the staff of Hospice Care of Tri County of Florence and a special thanks to Shaquanah (Meg) McClam for the compassionate and loving care and support during his time of illness, and the Vitas Innovative Hospice of Atlanta.
