Darrell Bernard Wilder was born on September 14, 1972, in Florence, SC to John Wesley Grant and to the late Mary “ Effie “ Wilder. He departed his life on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Norfolk, Virginia,

Darrell was an outgoing, free spirited person. He loved smiling and spending time with his family and friends.

Darrell attended the Public School Systems of Florence and worked various jobs in Norfolk, VA.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Wesley Wilder, his paternal grandparents, Wesley “ Bud” Grant and Annie Bell Grant; his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Ruby Wilder; one uncle and two aunts.

Darrell leaves to cherish his memories; his Father John Wesley Grant; his Brothers, Mark Wilder and Garrick Brown; four nieces, JaQuashia Sumter Mumford of Florence, SC, Jahnae Wilder of Darlington, SC, Markayla and Cyon Wilder of Florence, SC; one nephew Markis Wilder of Florence, SC; Five uncles, Milton ( Wanda ) Grant, Jean Wilder, Leroy Wilder, Jr., Willie “ Booty Boy “ McDaniels all of Florence, SC, Ray Lyde of Patterson, NJ; five aunts, Gloria Wilder and Sheila Wilder of Boston, MA Elaine Wilder of Greensboro, NC, Eva Grant or Florence, SC, and Tommie Lee Jackson of Bowie, MD; two great nephews, Quashaun Sumter and Quyon Bryant of Florence, SC; a loving companion Renita Meredich of Norfolk, VS; and a host of other family and friends.
