On Saturday evening, April 17, 2021, Annie Mae heard the Father’s voice and she answered his call to come on home and rest from her labor below and receive her heavenly award.
The late Mr. John Davis McFadden and Mrs. Hattie Goodman McFadden welcome their beautiful little child, Ms. Annie Mae McFadden, into the world on April 13, 1919 in Clarendon County, South Carolina. Annie Mae entered the glory gates of heaven on April 17, 2021, just a short time after her 102ndbirthday.
Annie Mae, affectionately called “Mae”, was educated in the Clarendon County public school system. At an early age Maeaccepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove A.M.E Church where she began her Christian journey. She served her church well in different capacities such as Oak Grove Gospel Choir, Mother of the Church, Women Missionary Society, and Seniors Program.
Mae valued her life as a full-time mother, grandmother, fearful warrior, community grandmother, and dear friend to others. Shevalued her family and friends and she enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking and endorsing a great conversation about anything. Annie loved her hats, purses, shoes, accessories, and getting her hair done.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Paul Shaw, ason Bishop Joseph Fleming Sr., a brother Jack McFadden, and a grandson Joseph Fleming Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: two beautiful daughters, Ms. Christine Shaw of the home and Ms. Pearlie (Mike) Shaw of Gable, South Carolina; two handsome sons, Mr. Rudolph (Robertha) Fleming of Turbeville, South Carolina and Mr. Robert Lee Johnson of Hollywood, Florida; one daughter-in-law Mrs. Laura Fleming of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two grandchildren she reared as her own, Ms. Pamela Shaw of the home and Michael Shaw of Columbia, South Carolina; two great grandchildren she reared as her own, Ms. Kelsey Shaw and Ms. LaDiamond Shaw both of Columbia, South Carolina; 8 additional grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren, 18 great-great great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-great-great grandchild; two special nieces, Mrs. Ada (James)Epps of Conway, South Carolina, and Mrs. Anna Bell (Mack) Brown of New Zion, South Carolina; special church friends, Ms. Lena Speights of Scranton, South Carolina and Mrs. Dorothy Rose of Kingstree, South Carolina; three adopted daughters, Mrs. Carol (Westley) Wilson of Kingstree, South Carolina, Mrs. Mary Lee Wright of Lynchburg, South Carolina, and Mrs. Estelle (Larry)Brand of Turbeville, South Carolina; two special nurses from Pruitt Hospice of Florence, South Carolina, Mrs. Carolyn(Tony)Wilson CNA of Scranton, South Carolina andMrs. Carolyn Evans, RN of Florence, South Carolina, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove A.M.E. Church 1709 Burnt Branch Road Lake City, SC 29560.
