We Allen Stewart 52, of Lexington, SC, and formerly of Pamplico, SC died on Sunday, December 9, 2023. 

Into Thine hands I commit my spirit. Thou bast redeemed me, 0 Lord God of Truth -Psalm 31:5 Allen Benjamin Stewart, affectionately known as Big Red, traded time for eternity on December IO, 2023, in Columbia, South Carolina.

A time to be born... -Ecclesiastes 3:2

Allen was born on October 7, I970, in Florence County, South Carolina. He was welcomed into a loving family and a life that was orchestrated by God.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord -Colossians 3:23a

Allen was a proud I989 graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School. During his years of formal education, Allen gained knowledge that laid the foundation for his future endeavors. As a man with a heartwarming personality and smile, it is no surprise that Allen would build a career as a customer service professional. He was employed by Publix Super Markets, Incorporated, and masterfully served as a Columbia-area store manager for over twenty years.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved -Romans 10:1.3

Being reared in a Christian home, Allen's desire to walk with God and live according to His Word began at an early age. Allen accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and joined the fellowship of believers at Mill Branch A.M.E. Church. Allen was a member of the Sons of Allen and the Lay Organization. He also served as the president of the Men at Work Choir.

Upon relocating to Columbia, Allen found it especially important to stay connected to other believers, and he joined Reid Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was an active member of Reid Chapel and served as a member of the following auxiliaries: the finance committee; hospitality committee; usher board; Sons of Allen Ministry; the Local and Connectional Lay Organization; and the Nehemiah Ministry, which provides church security. He also assisted the technology and media coverage teams. Allen served his church tirelessly until his health declined.

Allen was welcomed into eternity by his mother, Geneva C. "Coot" Hyman McAllister Stewart, and brothers: Thomas "Tommy" McAllister and Michael Ellison.

Allen leaves cherished memories and a loving legacy to his sisters: Katrena (Nathaniel) Andrews, Elaine (Robert) Davis, and Belinda Burgess, all of Pamplico, SC; brothers: Anthony Green, of Florence, SC, and Stephen Barnes, of Heath Springs, SC; nephews: Master Sergeant Nathaniel Andrews, Jr. and Daniel Burgess, of Austin, TX; nephews: Delvin Bostick and Kelvin Davis; and nieces: Geneva Burgess and Catherine Davis, all of Pamplico, SC. Also left to cherish his memory are his very special cousin, Maclean H. Parrish; special friends: Tanya B. Graham, Dorthy Mixon, and Kimberly Spears Butler; and an abundant host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
