Obituary for Ernest "Pistol" Woodberry

Ernest  "Pistol"  Woodberry
Ernest Woodberry, son of the late McRoy Woodberry and the late Venus Davis Woodberry was born September 19, 1955. He was affectionally known to everyone as “Pistol”. He departed his earthly life on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Mcleod Regional Medical Center in Florence SC after a sudden illness.



He was educated in the public schools of Florence County and was a 1973 Graduate of Johnsonville High School.



He was employed in the agricultural industry for over 30 years.



Ernest was a loving fiance’, brother and uncle to his family. He loved all of the kids. He loved watching television, fishing, and was a true fan of the Washington Redskins. Ernest knew how to make you laugh and was always the life of the family events.



Ernest was preceded in death by his father; McRoy Woodberry; his mother; Venus Davis Woodberry; and one brother; “Baby Boy” Woodberry.



Ernest was also preceded in death by Henry Joe Stuckey, to whom was a very close and dear friend of his for a very long time.



Ernest leaves to cherish his loving memories; his caring and faithful fiance’; Diane Cain of the home; In which he adopted her three kids into his heart; Jermaine Cain of Fayetteville, N.C.; LaRone (Asia) Cain of Florence S.C. ; and Angela (Patrick) Wesley of Seattle Washington; two grandchildren: Jeremiah Cain and Riley Wesley; one brother; Harold Woodberry (Gloria Fleming) of Johnsonville S.C. ; three sisters; Lucille (James) Crouch of Hemingway S.C. ; Laura Woodberry and Lubertha Woodberry; both of Johnsonville S.C. a very special nephew; Chris Woodberry; with whom he spent much time with and they had a very strong relationship together; six nieces to whom he loved dearly and had an integral part in rearing; Angela Crouch; Michelle (Eric) Woodberry ; Tiffany Woodberry McCullough; Candace Woodberry; Christy Woodberry and Lanora (Maurice “Byrd”) Bell; a host of great nieces & nephews; cousins, other relatives and dear friends
