Obituary for Minnie Ruth Wilson Daniels

Minnie Ruth Wilson Daniels
Mrs. Minnie Ruth Daniels was born in Florence County, SC April 24, 1924 to the Late Lonnie Wilson Sr. and Minnie Bradley Wilson. She was one of twenty-three children and two adopted children.



She entered into peaceful rest March 9, 2015. She was educated in Florence County Public Schools and was a farmer and homemaker.



She was united in marriage to the late Roy Daniels, Sr.February 10, 1943. To this union six children were born.



Minnie joined the Mt. Zion Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She served as an usher, a member of the Missionary Society, chairperson of the Kitchen Committeeand a member of Pastor’s Aid Ministry.



She was employed for several years with the Community Action Agency as a field representative.



She served as a member of the Pamplico Cypress Festival Committee for 10 years; the Munn Cemetery Committee; the Light of Pamplico, Chapter #80 of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, and secretary of the Grand United Sons and Daughters of Moses.



She was instrumental in organizing youth softball during her earlier years. She was also active within her community as an encourager and a supporter of those during periods of grief by preparing fish for many families. Her kitchen was always open to feed anyone who had a desire to feast at her table.



In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by 20 siblings.



To cherish loving memories are: Three sons, Elder Roy (Betty) Daniels, Pastor Calvin (Ann) Daniels, and Rev. Bobby (Roberta) Daniels; three daughters, Shirley Elnora (Lynwood) Timmons, Maxine (Johnny) McCoy, Cynthia Evelyn Parks; twenty-two grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Bruce and Susie Timmons and many loving relatives, friends and church family.
